June 2010 – Dog Grooming

Our two dogs, Timmy and Tina, had been trimmed by various so-called dog-groomers in England. We were never pleased and in some cases actually felt conned and ripped off.

One woman said “I will only give them a light trim for this first time, that way they can get used to me”. That may be freely translated as “I won’t take much off then you will have to come back and pay me all over again”.

In the end Kathie took to grooming them herself and the results were quite good.

When we arrived in Spain it was far hotter than we imagined so we felt that our fur-coated little friends should be trimmed professionally to allow them some relief.

In our local shopping area, Cabo Roig, Kathie spotted a likely dog-grooming service so we booked them in hoping for a good service. They are called Perfect Paws and are on the Southbound side.

They were there for four hours and the results were beautiful. The cost was the shocker, only €20 each.

As you may guess from the after-pictures, this lady will now be their regular trimmer.
