Kathie's brother John married his partner Jackie last February on his birthday. This was by way of a reaffirmation of their personal vows and a celebration for the family and the village where they have made their home.
They only met late in 2014. Jackie is part of the Folk Scene in Cornwall and the thunderbolt struck when John visited a show at which she was playing, and they decided within weeks that they were made for each other.
Kathie made a Wedding Cake and we also brought some wine from Spain so it meant a drive down from Yorkshire for the grand event.

Followed by a little sight seeing.
We had a fabulous celebration held in St. Just Town Hall. It was organised by the Fete Committee. They laid on a bar with very reasonable prices, and decorated the hall. All of the chairs and tables were covered and for the start the chairs were laid out in a circle, in the middle of which Jacky and John restated their personally written vows. There were more than a few tears from the ladies.
We had Barn Dance followed by Cornish Pasties and a Cream Tea. When the tables were cleared once more the disco began. A fabulous time was had by all.
